Elementary Topic Schedule for 2007 – 2008

Chemistry God Established the World by His Wisdom  Jeremiah 10:12 

September 11, 2007 through October 2, 2007

Through Chemistry we will discover how God put the world together and how it functions.  We will use these principles to explode, clean, rubberize and colorize while having fun.

 

Electricity God is in Control Jeremiah 32:17

October 9, 2007 through October 30, 2007

We will learn principles of electricity and magnetism through manipulating materials.  We will find that electricity is all around us in living and non-living things, yet God is ultimately in control.

 

Gravity In Him We Live and Move and Have Our Being Job 36:27-37

November 6, 2007 through November 27, 2007

This month we will explore the idea of gravity and how it affects us in our everyday life.  We will finish out the month by making a gravity defying raw egg.

 

The Human Eye and Light Jesus is the Light of the World John 1:4-10

January 8, 2008 through January 29, 2008

God has made us so wonderful and complex.  This month we will study the eye and how we see.

February 5, 2008 through February 26, 2008

Plants can teach us a lot about God’s world.  Through studying the parts of the plant we will learn how they grow and reproduce and how we should grow as Christians.  We will investigate by dissecting and planting.

 

Insects Insects can teach us many valuable lessons; diligent as an ant, obedience to God, etc. Ecclesiastes 10:1

March 4, 2008 through April 1, 2008

No class March 25, 2008 – Resurrection Holiday

Insects are the largest animal group in the world and we are finding more all the time.  In this class students will study insects and what role insects have in our world.

 

Animals God wants us to enjoy Him and His creation.  Psalm 104:24

April 8, 2008 through April 29, 2008

This month we will study the 5 groups of vertebrate animals and learn what they have to teach us.  We will have living examples of each group and learn what their similarities and differences are.

May 6, 2008 through May 27, 2008

God is not random.  There is a reason for all of His Creation.  This month we will learn how all parts of His Creation work together and what role we have in it.
